The European Economic Area (EEA) created as a result of EEA Agreement includes the countries from the European Union (EU), as well as the countries from European Free Trade Association (EFTA), enabling the countries that do not belong to EU to be a part of the EU single market.
Members of the EEA are Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. Switzerland is neither an EU nor EEA member but citizens have the same rights to live and work as other EEA citizens.
