The Top Friend Referrer Challenge is a limited-time only competition offering an additional bonus to people who refer the most Expatrio Value Package Customers for Summer Semester 2025.
You can enter the challenge by referring your friends to become Expatrio customers as per our standard Refer friends program.
What are the prizes for the winners?
In addition to the rewards that you can earn as per the terms of the standard Refer friends program you will have the chance to win one of the 8 prizes from the Top Friend Referrer Challenge!
The top prizes are:
- 1st place: €3,000
- 2nd place: €2,000
- 3rd place: €1,000
In addition, even one successful referral will automatically enter you to win €100 in our lucky draw. 5 winners will be randomly selected for this.
What counts as a valid referral for the competition?
A referral will count towards the Top Friend Referrer Challenge competition if it meets the below conditions:
- the friend referral has to be for a Value Package application
- the application has to be submitted between Jan 1st 2025 and Mar 31st 2025
- the referred friend has to activate the blocked account, the Expatrio bank account* and the health insurance in the Value package by the end of May 31st 2025 (CET)

When will the winners be announced?
The winners for all prizes will be announced in June 2025.
How can you get started?
You can refer friends by sharing your unique referral code or link. You can find your unique link and code by logging into the User Portal and clicking the "Gift in Hand" icon (see below screenshot) in the top right corner, or going into the Menu and choosing "Refer Friends".
Anyone who successfully refers friends within the above mentioned period (Jan 1st 2025 to Mar 31st 2025) will automatically be included in the competition.
Do I still receive €10 for every successful referral?
Yes! Regardless of whether you become a prize winner, you will still receive €10 for every successful referral, in addition to your friend getting €15.
Does every friend I successfully refer still receive €15?
Yes! Each successfully referred friend will still receive €15 after activating their Value Package products.
Is there a live leaderboard?
No, rankings will not be disclosed during the competition. Winners will be announced in June 2025.
How will the prizes be paid out?
Prizes will be paid out in EUR via bank transfer to the bank account of your choice.
