Yes you can extend your blocked account from your User Portal and Expatrio App!
Please log in to the Expatrio Portal and select Blocked Account. Then, select Extend/Apply.
- If the option 'Extend' is available, your blocked account currently has funds, and monthly payments are being processed.
- If the option 'Apply' is available, this means that your Blocked Account payments have all been processed, and there are no funds remaining.
From there, you will need to complete your extension request. Once submitted, it will be verified, and we will open your extension account.
Once your extension account is opened, you will be able to initiate payment to transfer the necessary funds. You can set the amount and length for your extension account according to your need or the requirement of the visa authority.
Once your funds arrive, you will receive a 06 Confirmation letter for your extension account.
You can use your active Blocked Account Statement (Kontoauszug) and the 06 Confirmation Letter for your extension account to prove the total amount of blocked funds in your blocked accounts to the authorities for your residence permit application.
