You do not need to take any action to receive your digital ISIC card. The process is fully automated by Expatrio. All you need to do is activate your TK Health Insurance / Provisit Student private health insurance / ottonova Study Secure private health insurance on your Expatrio Portal. After you successfully activate your health insurance in the value package on the user portal, you will be eligible for the ISIC card. You will be eligible for a free ISIC card when you meet the below requirements:
- You have a Value package with Expatrio
- Your TK, ottonova or Provisit health insurance status shows as 'active' on your Expatrio user portal
For TK Health insurance users:
You will receive the digital ISIC card by email when your TK insurance status on Expatrio portal is active.
After you activate your TK Health Insurance through Expatrio, we will send your data to TK. The TK activation process usually takes 2-4 weeks.
Please note that the health insurance has to be confirmed by TK to Expatrio, which means that usually it becomes 'active' on your Expatrio account later than you getting the confirmation from the insurance provider. It can take up to 1-2 months for your insurance status to be active on the user portal.
Important:
- If you activate your TK insurance through TK directly or through another provider, you may not be registered as an Expatrio customer in TK's system. If you are not registered as an Expatrio customer in TK's system, you will not be eligible to receive the digital ISIC card through Expatrio. This cannot be reversed.
For ottonova Study Secure and Provisit Student Private health insurance users:
You will receive the digital ISIC card by email when your ottonova Study Secure or Provisit Student private health insurance status on Expatrio portal is active.
After your activate your ottonova Study Secure or Provisit Student private health insurance, the status of your insurance will be active shortly. After the status becomes active, we will process the digital ISIC card for you.
Note:
1. Expatrio only provides you the digital ISIC card. If you want to have a physical ISIC card, please contact ISIC directly to order a physical one after you have received your digital ISIC card.
2. If you are insured with DR-WALTER Educare24 private health insurance, you will not be eligible to receive the digital ISIC card through Expatrio. This offer is only available to students insured with TK public health insurance / Provisit Student private health insurance / ottonova Study Secure private health insurance.
3. We send a monthly order to ISIC for the new cards, usually in the first week of each month, for the users whose insurance became 'active' in the previous month. This means that you can expect the email from ISIC with your credentials in the first half of the month after your insurance status became 'active' on your Expatrio user portal.
