As a partner of financial institutions, Expatrio must report on the foreign assets held by their U.S. account holders. For this reason, we ask questions related to U.S. residency status during the Expatrio account application.
What Do I Have To Do To Make Sure I Am FATCA Compliant?
Under FATCA, certain U.S. taxpayers holding financial assets outside the United States must report those assets to the IRS as part of their annual tax-return, generally using Form 8938, Statement of Specified Foreign Financial Assets.
