Extending the blocked account before it is activated
If your blocked account is not activated yet and you need to add more funds to it please start by submitting a change request under the Blocked account section on your Expatrio portal, using the Change details button there.
If there are no funds in your account yet the update will be immediate.
If there are already funds in your account we will send you a notification when the update is done. You can then set up a new payment for the additional funds.
Extending your blocked account before it is activated is free of charge, but the €5 monthly service fee will apply for the additional months.
Extending the blocked account after it is activated
If your blocked account is already live and you need to block your funds for additional months please login to the Expatrio Portal and select Blocked Account on the left menu. From here you will need to select Extend/Apply.
- If the option 'Extend' is available this means that your Blocked Account currently has funds, and monthly payments are being processed.
- If the option 'Apply' is available this means that your Blocked Account payments have all been processed and there are no funds remaining.
From here you will need to complete your extension request. Once submitted it will be verified and we will open your extension account for you.
You will receive an automatic email with the next steps when your account is opened.
