Yes, if you are not coming to study at a university in Germany, you can still open a Blocked Account with Expatrio. The Blocked Account can be opened for the following groups of people:
- Language students
- University bachelor, university master and exchange students
- Studienkolleg applicants
- PhD students
- Interns
- Apprentices
- Job seekers
- Chancenkarte (opportunity card) applicants

Usually, you do not need a Blocked Account if you're an employee or intern. However, If you are of the opinion or have been told that you need a Blocked Account, simply choose another profession that is closest to you and send your Blocked Account application. Profession will not show on any documents therefore choosing another one will not cause any issue in your visa or residence permit application.
