Türkiye and Germany have an agreement for health insurance, and Turkish citizens who have one family member who is part of the SGK (Sosyal Güvenlik Kurumu) and want to study in Germany can be covered with the AT11 document in Germany.

For that, please contact the local authority in Türkiye to request the AT11 Document before arriving in Germany.

If you want to be covered with an AT11 document during your studies in Germany, you do not need to apply for TK(Techniker Krankenkasse) Public Health Insurance anymore.

However, if you are not covered by the AT11 document and would like to apply to TK you must confirm to TK that you are moving their permanent residency from Türkiye to Germany.

For that, send them the below template completed with your data.

Simply copy the text below, fill in the information, sign it, and save it as a PDF or picture file.

If you are already in Germany and have your Meldebestätigung (also known as Anmeldung or address registration form), please attach it to the email you will send to TK. If you do not have it yet, you should send it to TK once you do.
