After you applied for the Techniker Krankenkasse (TK) public health insurance online with Expatrio, you will receive a welcome email within 24 hours.

The email will include useful information on how to access your insurance certificate and what to do next.

Please note: TK automatically sends your data digitally to the university you listed on your application shortly after the application is approved. Your university will need this for your enrollment process, but you do not need to do anything regarding this unless you change your university or if they tell you that they did not receive this digital confirmation.

If you change your university after your health insurance application was approved, or if your university tells you that they have not yet received the digital confirmation, please let us know via our contact form.
