Unfortunately, we can not open blocked accounts for minors (under 18) under their name yet.
But if your parents are coming to Germany, they can open a blocked account under their name if the visa authorities confirm this.
In most cases, the visa authorities allow families to have a shared blocked account, which means that your parent can apply for the Blocked Account with their passport details and activate it with their documents after they arrive in Germany with you. Please bear in mind that the account will be under your parents name, which mean you can not take any action for the account.
In order to activate the account your parent has to perform an identity verification in Germany with their passport. To learn how the blocked account activation process is, please check here.
If you want to close your blocked account earlier than the planned stay, your parents needs to get the documents from the authorities in Germany. To learn how to close a blocked account, you can check this article.
Unfortunately, we can not offer a blocked account solution if your parents do not accompany you to Germany.
In that case, we recommend that you set up your Blocked Account with an alternative provider, as we do not want to cause a delay in your visa process.
