While the Expatrio Value Package itself is free, but some products have monthly costs. Let's go step by step:

Type A: for university students below 30 years of age 

Type B:  for university students (bachelor , master and exchange students) above 38 years of age that has no dependents and answered “no” to the health related questions.

Type C: for university students above 30 years of age that answered "yes" to one of the health related questions, PhD students, language students, visitors of a Studienkolleg, study applicants, job seekers and Au Pairs

Type D: for university students between 18-37 years of age that answered "no" to health related questions, no dependants and opt for the ottonova Study secure Private health insurance.

Type A:

1. Blocked Account:
   • From 1st August 2025, CET 00:00 onwards, the set-up fee is €89. (The set-up fee is € 69 only if you opened your Blocked Account before 1 August; and the cashback campaign is only available for customers who applied for value package before August 1,2025. )
   • Monthly service fee of €5.
2. Incoming Insurance / travel insurance:
   • Free (up to 92 days; worth up to €95)
3. Public Health Insurance:
   • Students under the age of 23 or with 1 child: €141.16
   • Students age 23 and above without children: €146.29 
4. Digital ISIC card:
   • Free (up to 12 months; usually €18)
5. Bank Account (Girokonto in German):
   • Free and open automatically*

Type B:

1. Blocked Account:
   • From 1st August 2025, CET 00:00 onwards, the set-up fee is €89. (The set-up fee is € 69 only if you opened your Blocked Account before 1 August; and the cashback campaign is only available for customers who applied for value package before August 1,2025. )
   • Monthly service fee of €5.
2. DR-WALTER Provisit Student Private Health Insurance including Incoming Insurance and long-term care insurance:
   • If you are 30-45 years old:
     • €129 + compulsory care insurance contribution fee.
       (The price is a combination of the Health insurance + Compulsory long-term care insurance depending on your age, it will be calculated for you during the application process)
   • If you are 46-59 years old:
     • €166 + compulsory care insurance contribution fee.
       (The price is a combination of the Health insurance + Compulsory long-term care insurance depending on your age, it will be calculated for you during the application process)
   • If you are 60-70 years old: 
     • €650 + compulsory care insurance contribution fee.
       (The price is a combination of the Health insurance + Compulsory long-term care insurance depending on your age, it will be calculated for you during the application process)
3. Bank Account (Girokonto in German):
   • Free and open automatically*
4. ISIC card:
   • Free (up to 12 months; usually €18)

Type C:

   • If you are under 39 years old:
     • Basic (S) - €1.10 a day or €33 a month for the first 18 months 
     • Comfort (M) - €1.24 a day or €37 a month for the first 18 months 
     • Plus (L) - €1.36 a day or €41 a month for the first 18 months 
     • Comfort+ (XL) - €1.97 a day or €59 a month for the first 18 months 
   • If you are between 39 and 69 years old:
     • Basic (S) - €1.80 a day or €54 a month for the first 18 months 
     • Comfort (M) - €1.94 a day or €58 a month for the first 18 months 
     • Plus (L) - €2.30 a day or €69 a month for the first 18 months 
     • Comfort+ (XL) - €2.77 a day or €83 a month for the first 18 months 
3. Bank Account (Girokonto in German):
   • Free and open automatically*

Type D:
