What is the BFF campaign?
We offer a free blocked account in the Value Package for applications submitted in between the start of 01 July and the end of 31 October 2023 (CET). This means that on top of the €49 discount of the standard Value package you will also get the €5 monthly blocked account service fee back if you meet the requirements of this campaign. This means a total of €109 discount for a 12 months blocked account for example!
Please note: the maximum value of the cashback is €109 (€49+12x€5). This means that if for example you have a blocked account with 18 months blocked on it you will be eligible for the 12 months cashback (€49+12x€5), but we will not pay a cashback for the service fee of the additional 6 months (6x€5=€30).
What are the requirements of this campaign?
You are eligible for the €49 + monthly service fee cashback if you meet the below requirements:
- apply for the Value package in the time between 01 July 2023 (0:00 CET) and 31 October 2023 (midnight CET)
- activate both your blocked account and health insurance until the end of 30 June 2024 (CET)
- this has to be the first time you have the Value package with Expatrio
What if I applied before July 2023?
If you already applied for the Value package before July 2023 unfortunately you are not eligible for this discount. You will still get your standard €49 cashback though when both your blocked account and health insurance becomes live.
If you already applied for an Expatrio blocked account before July 2023, but did not apply for a health insurance via Expatrio you can still get this discount. All you have to do is upgrade to the Value package between 01 July and 31 October 2023 under the Upgrade or Add New Products section on your Expatrio user portal and get your health insurance too via Expatrio.
If you already applied for a health insurance via Expatrio before July 2023 but did not apply for a blocked account and did not activate the health insurance yet you can still get this discount. All you have to do is upgrade to the Value package between 01 July and 31 October 2023 under the Upgrade or Add New Products section on your Expatrio user portal and get your blocked account too via Expatrio.
How will I get the discount?
Once you activate both your blocked account and health insurance we will automatically send you the cashback. This will include the €49 blocked account set-up fee and the €5 monthly service fee for the number of months blocked in your account (up to 12 months, see above).
This means that for a 12 months blocked account we will send you €49+12x€5=€109 in total.
Remember: you have to activate both the blocked account and the health insurance until the end of 30 June 2024 (CET) to be eligible for the cashback of the monthly blocked account service fee.
Why are the blocked account fees still deducted from my blocked account?
The €49 set-up fee and the €5 monthly service fee will be still deducted from your blocked account once it is activated. The set-up fee will be deducted when the account is activated and the service fee will be deducted monthly. This is simply how our blocked account product works.
However, these deductions will be balanced out by the one time cashback (€5 for each month blocked on your account + €49) mentioned in the previous paragraph above.
