The device pairing (connecting your phone to your account) process is compulsory to activate your accounts.
After passing the identity verification with Postident or ID Now, you need to connect your phone to your account to start receiving your monthly payouts!
Please click on the "Connect Phone" button on the status of your Blocked Account or click on the "Banking" tab at the bottom of your screen.
On the next page, you need to confirm your German phone number.
If the phone number shown is not your accurate German phone number, please click "Change phone number" to change it.
After you confirm the phone number, you will receive a 6-digit code as an SMS to your phone. Please enter that code to continue.
Please make sure that your phone has a good signal to receive the SMS. Sometimes, it can take up to a minute for the code to arrive. Please check this article if you are having trouble receiving your code.
Once you enter the correct code, you will be led to the next page, where you will be asked three personal questions. Please remember that your reply has to match the details on your Expatrio profile.
Here are tips to pass this step smoothly:
- One of the most common mismatches is place of birth. Please go to your Expatrio portal, click on the Menu at the top right > Personal Data, and there you can see the details.
- Please only use English letters and don't use any punctuation while responding to the security questions!
- The postal code should not be your home country's address but rather your German address.
- If your account is locked because you have given the wrong reply to the security questions multiple times, you can log out, unpair your device, and log in again. This should unlock your account.
Once done, the next step is entering and confirming your 4-digit passcode.
Afterwards you are all set, your both Blocked account and daily Bank account are active and your payouts are sent to your daily Bank account.
