If you activated your German Bank Account* and lose your physical card or your phone (the access to your digital card is no longer secure), you can freeze your card to keep your bank account safe.
Once the card is frozen, the card will reject all charges, withdrawals, and purchases until you unfreeze it. This security measure helps you to prevent any unauthorized use of your card.
You can unfreeze your card at any time under the Banking/Cards tab on your Expatrio app!
Should you need to permanently block your card, please contact our customer support team via the Contact sheet.
Freezing your card via your Expatrio user portal
Login to your Expatrio User Portal and go to the Current Account menu there. Click on the 'Freeze card' function there. Our system will ask you 3 questions to verify your identity. Once you respond correctly, you can freeze your card.
