This article provides you instruction of how to withdraw money from an ATM with your Expatrio bank account*.
With the Expatrio bank account, you will have 3 free ATM withdrawals per month in Germany and the rest of the EU. Afterwards, it costs €3 per withdrawal.
Please note: Some ATMs have their own fees that they usually mentioned on the screen itself. The ATM you are using may charge you, although our bank will not charge fees for the first three withdrawals in a month.
How to withdraw money from an ATM with my card?
- Find an ATM near you.
- Insert your physical card or scan your virtual one over the reader, select the language option, and enter your 4-digit PIN number.
- Once the PIN is approved, select ‘withdrawal’ for transaction type, and enter the amount you want to withdraw.
- Finally, collect your cash (and receipt if needed) and take back your debit card, if the machine hasn’t returned it already.
How to withdraw money without a physical card?
- Make sure that your phone is NFC-enabled.
- Connect your digital card of the Expatrio bank account to your digital wallet such as Apply pay and Google pay.
- Find a contactless-enabled ATM cash machine. You’ll be able to recognise it if you see a small NFC reader near the traditional card reader.
- You can use your digital card to withdraw cash from an NFC-enabled ATM with just your smartphone. Simply hold your card up to the reader to complete your cash withdrawal.
