Make your money transfers faster, easier, and more reliable.
Your Expatrio Bank Account* lets you manage transfers efficiently with two key features: the Saved Contact List and Instant SEPA Transfers. These tools help you save time, reduce mistakes, and move money within seconds.
Saved Contact List
The Saved Contact List allows you to save details of people or accounts you regularly send money to. Once added, their information will be available whenever you make a transfer - no need to retype their IBAN or name.
Benefits:
- Faster repeat transfers: choose from your saved contacts and send money in just a few clicks.
- Fewer errors: select from verified, pre-saved details instead of typing them each time.
- Easy to manage: add, edit, or remove contacts whenever needed to keep your list up to date.
Note: in some countries, this is called a beneficiary list. In Germany and across Europe, the term recipient is more commonly used.
Instant SEPA Transfers
Expatrio supports Instant SEPA Transfers, allowing you to send and receive money within seconds to any SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) bank account.
Instant transfers are:
- Available 24/7, including weekends and public holidays
- Processed immediately, so funds arrive almost instantly
- Secure, following the SEPA network standards for European payments
- Free of charge
Note: availability may depend on your recipient’s bank supporting SEPA Instant payments.
How to Make a Transfer
Follow these steps to make a transfer using your saved contacts or to send an instant SEPA payment:
- Go to the Banking tab in your account.
- In the Transfer Money section, select Add a New Contact.
- Enter the recipient’s name, IBAN, and country, then submit - the contact will be saved.
- Scroll or search to select a saved contact; their details will auto-fill in the transfer form.
- Enter the transfer amount and reference note.
- Review the details and confirm the transfer.
- Successful transfers will appear in the Recent Transfers section.
- Manage contacts - you can edit or remove saved contacts at any time.
- To make an instant transfer, simply select “Instant Transfer” when you get to the “Review Transfer” screen.
Troubleshooting and Support
If your transfer doesn’t go through instantly, it may be because your recipient’s bank does not yet support SEPA Instant transfers. The payment will be processed as a regular SEPA transfer instead.
