Is there a time frame to make the transfer?
Once you set up a payment on your Expatrio User Portal you should initiate the transfer by the end of the due date day. Note: the funds do not have to arrive by the due date, you just have to make sure that you initiate the transfer with your bank/transfer provider before that.
The due date/time applies as per the local time of the country of initiation. Keeping the deadline is important to avoid exchange rate fluctuations. The due date is set between 24 and 72 hours from the time when you set up the payment, based on the country of initiation.
What happens if I can't make the transfer by the end of the due date?
If you cannot make the transfer by the end of the due date, then you can refresh your transfer details document or cancel the payment and set up a new one.
You can do this by navigating first to your Blocked Account section under Products in your Expatrio User Portal, then going to My payments, then finally to the payment in question. From here you will have to go to the Documents section, and use the 'RENEW' button there.
The amount you need to transfer will be updated with the up to date exchange rates and you will get a new due date too.
Can I make the transfer in multiple transactions?
If you want to make the transfer in multiple parts, please set up multiple payments with the amounts that you plan to transfer.
What is real time/instant payment?
Instant money transfer is a method similar to making an online purchase/payment. This option is available only in a limited number of countries and might not be listed under the payment options when you set up your payment process on your Expatrio User Portal.
What are the benefits of using instant payment?
Fast money transfer - your funds should arrive instantly and you should be able to receive your Blocked Account Confirmation within a few hours. Please note: Expatrio can not take responsibility for technical issues on the transaction provider's (for example Alipay's) end.
How long does Expatrio Payment take to receive my funds?
Using Expatrio Payments can take 1-5 days for your funds to arrive, in some countries your are able to transfer in real time (e.g. via Alipay in China).
