Sometimes banks charge transfer fees that you were not aware of, in which case only the remaining amount arrives in your Blocked Account, and it will be less than the amount you transferred.
The most likely cause for the missing amount is the charges type that was used for the transfer. There are 3 different charges options when you make a transfer:
- OUR: you (the sender) pay all the transfer fees upfront (this is the option we recommend as with this you can ensure that the total amount reaches your Blocked Account)
- SHA: you (the sender) pay your bank's outgoing transfer charge, and the recipient receives the amount minus the intermediary bank charges
- BEN: you (the sender) pay no transfer fees and the recipient receives the amount minus all the transfer fees
Note: In order to avoid receiving less funds in your blocked account, please confirm the currency exchange rate (FX rate) and/or transfer fees with your bank or money transfer service provider prior to transferring the money.
