This article provides you with instructions on how to update your university name.
If you are not sure which university you will enrol in during the application, you can change it later. You can update your university name in the user portal before you activate your insurance.
Note: Updating your university details will not affect the blocked account processes (application, activation etc...). Your university details will not be shown on any document related to your blocked account; it only matters to your health insurance process.
If you have TK public health insurance and want to update your university name, please follow the steps below:
- Login your Expatrio user portal and go to personal data section.
- Go to Study Information section, click on “edit information”.
- After updating your university name and semester start date, click on “Save changes”
- Contact vertriebspartner@tk.de with the email subject Digital confirmation resend to new university, TK insurance will resent the digital confirmation for you.

Dear TK Team,
My name is XXX, and my date of birth is XXX. I have applied to TK via Expatrio, and my application ID is XXX.
I have recently changed my university to XXX, located at the XXX campus. I kindly request that you resend the notification regarding my insurance status to my new university.

Please note: TK will likely just follow up on your request without responding to you. If you would like a confirmation on whether your university has this digital confirmation or not, please contact your university directly 2-3 business days after contacting TK.
If you have Provisit student / ottonova Study Secure private health insurance and want to change your university name, please follow the steps below:
- Login your Expatrio user portal and go to personal data section.
- Go to Study Information section, click on “edit information”.
- After updating your university name, click on “Save changes”
- Please contact our customer support through service@expatrio.com and provide us a document from your university that confirms this semester start date. The document can be :
- an admission letter
- an enrollment certificate
- any other email, letter or document from your university that clearly states the semester start date.
We will update your semester start date for you after receiving the new date and required document.
If you have Educare24 travel health insurance and want to change your university name, please follow the steps below:
- Login your Expatrio user portal and go to personal data section.
- Go to Study Information section, click on “edit information”.
- After updating your university name, click on “Save changes”
- Please contact public health insurance providers to resend the digital confirmation to your university.
